The GPLS hosted their All-Star weekend June 12-14, and I was honored to be a part of the weekend both recruiting for the Briercrest Women’s softball team, and as a guest coach for the 14U, 16U, and 18U All-star teams. It was exciting to see such talent and teamwork in these athletes. Having the opportunity to coach All-star games, I was able to spend a few hours on the field with these talented athletes. These ladies, who in every other game of the season are rivals, came together to encourage and support one another for a fantastic evening. I am excited to see the GPLS and WCSA partnership grow as it is clear that the GPLS is producing high-level athletes who will be able to compete at the college level in the future.
