With over 50mm of rain predicted and daytime highs of 6C predicted the WCSA decided to cancel all but one game of the final regular season weekend. The only game played was the University of Regina playing the Uinversity of Saskatchewan, agame won 7 – 1 by Saskatchewan. This ensures the u of Sask the top seed in the playoffs this coming weekend in Calgary. Regina finishes 2nd, Calgary 3rd, SAIT 4th, and Briercrest 5th. With the win, the University of Saskatchewan ckaims a berth to the 2017 CCSA National Championships in Ontario to be hosted by the OIWFA.
