The University of Calgary went undefeated through pool play and advanced to the Championship after their semi final win. The CCSA Championship eluded them as a strong first inning by Regina gave them a 4 run lead that the Dinos couldn’t get back.
Kim Vibert received the Top Batter award in pool play, batting award for her strong batting performance, going 11 for 13 at the plate, hitting .846. Included were 2 triples, 1 home run and 5 rbi.
Calgary advanced to the Championship with pool play wins over Western University ( 9 – 2 ), University of Saskatchewan ( 15 – 5 ), Durham College ( 12 – 3 ); then a semifinal win against Wilfred Laurier University ( 9 – 2 ).
