Opening day produced 92 runs across eight completed games. Regina, Saskatchewan and Calgary each finished 2–1 at Douglas Park: Regina swept its two games against SAIT before falling 10–6 to Saskatchewan; Saskatchewan and Calgary split their two meetings; and Calgary closed the day with a 12–8 victory over SAIT.
In Kelowna, Kamryn Allin’s three-run homer completed UBC Okanagan’s 5–4 comeback over Lethbridge, while Victoria Perry drove in five as Victoria defeated Mount Royal 10–2. Heavy rain postponed two games until Sunday and forced the cancellation of two additional matchups.

Notable performers of the day
- Victoria Perry — University of Victoria Perry went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI in Victoria’s 10–2 victory. Her three-run homer broke a 1–1 tie, and her two-run single helped turn the third inning into a six-run outburst. She currently leads the league in RBI and OPS.
- Mia Pielak — University of Calgary Pielak delivered Saturday’s strongest sustained pitching performance: seven innings, three hits, one unearned run, three walks and two strikeouts in Calgary’s 5–1 win over Saskatchewan. Her cumulative line includes a 0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and league-best .120 opponent batting average. She also drove in a run.
- Taryn Moehler — University of Saskatchewan Moehler supplied consistent production across Saskatchewan’s three games, going 5-for-9 with a double, four RBI and a .556/.600/.667 slash line. She drove in at least one run in every game and went 3-for-4 in the 10–6 victory over Regina.
