An extension to an agreement made among the member teams of the WCSA in 2016, will allow eligible Mount Royal University students to play college softball with the SAIT Polytechnic Trojans in 2017. This arrangement brings stability and certainty to the SAIT program, and allows for Mount Royal Students to play in the WCSA. Head Coach of SAIT George Edwards says ” It’s a win – win situation ” for the players, the coaches and the league. MRU students who are interested in playing should contact Edwards at fge@shaw.ca .
Ultimately the WCSA would like to see Mount Royal University having their own team in the WCSA.
