Saturday was a day that saw both blowouts and nail biters. Regina by way of wins over Briercrest 13 – 3; Saskatchewan 8 – 3; and Calgary 5 – 3 have advanced to the Championship Final tomorrow at 2 PM. Calgary came from behind against UBC-O in the bottom of the 7th to win 7 – 6, then lost to Regina, dropping them to the semi final where they await the winner of a UBC-O vs Saskatchewan game. Saskatchewan advanced by virtue of wins against SAIT, and Lethbridge. UBC-O started the day with a convincing 8 – 0 win against Lethbridge, and bounced back after their loss to Calgary with a 16 – 0 win against Briercrest.
Dropping to the Consolation side after 2 losses were SAIT, Lethbridge and Briercrest. In the 9 AM game, SAIT will play Lethbridge. The winner will play Briercrest in the Consolation final at 11:00 AM.
Games on Sunday in the Championship bracket start at 9:00 AM with Saskatchewan taking on UBC-O. The winner plays Calgary in the semi final, the winner will advance needing to beat Regina twice to win the Champioship.
